Shipping policy

We offer both local delivery using our own truck and nationwide delivery through third-party freight providers. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.


1. Local Deliveries (Our Truck)

Service Area

We deliver locally, generally within the Wairarapa, Wellington, Kapiti, Manawatu and Tararua regions. Delivery fees are based on distance and are either applied at checkout or quoted separately.

Delivery Times

  • We will provide a delivery day that we expect to deliver. 

  • Weather, road closures, or operational delays may affect delivery times and we will keep you updated.

Access Requirements

  • Our truck must have safe, clear access to your property.

  • Delivery will be made to the closest safe tipping or unloading point, as assessed by the driver. This includes clearance above if the truck is needing to tip. We will endeavour to deliver where you specify so please give us clear instructions. 

  • If you request delivery beyond a normal safe point (e.g., across lawns, near buildings), you are responsible for any resulting damage.

If Delivery Cannot Be Completed

If we cannot access your property due to locked gates, unsafe terrain, vehicles blocking access, or other issues:

  • We may leave the load at the nearest suitable location, or

  • Return with the load and re-deliver at an additional fee.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure someone is available if access assistance is needed.

  • Ensure pets, children, and obstacles are clear of the delivery area.


2. Third-Party Courier / Freight Deliveries

Who We Use

For items outside the local delivery zone (e.g., timber lengths, packaged firewood, custom orders), we use trusted third-party freight or courier services.

Shipping Costs

  • Freight charges depend on weight, size, and destination.

  • Costs will be confirmed before dispatch.

Dispatch Times

  • Orders are dispatched as soon as we can. We can provide you with updates as we process the order.

  • You will receive tracking information once the freight provider supplies it.

Delivery Timeframes

Delivery times vary by region and carrier. Once your order has been handed to the freight company, delivery is subject to their schedule.

Damage or Loss in Transit

  • Goods become the responsibility of the freight company once they leave our yard.

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos, and we will lodge a claim with the carrier.

  • Missing items or lost freight will be investigated with the carrier, but resolutions are subject to their policies.

Freight Limitations

  • Timber lengths may be subject to maximum size restrictions by carriers. For example, timber longer than 2.4m cannot be delivered to your door unless you have a machine suitable to unload it. 

  • Rural delivery addresses may incur additional charges or longer shipping times.


3. Pickup (Customer Collection)

Customers collecting orders from our yard must:

  • Use a suitable vehicle. Refrain from allowing children or pets out of your car when you are here. 

  • Secure their own load.

  • Follow all safety instructions.
    We are not liable for vehicle damage or load security once you leave the premises.


4. Order Changes

Changes to delivery address, delivery date, or shipping method must be made before dispatch or before the truck is loaded. Additional fees may apply.
