Gum Firewood

Quality Gum firewood. Price is per cube. This wood isn't dry so expect to allow roughly 12 weeks of drying time in order for it to be ready to burn. Please store it with plenty of ventilation (NOT under a tarpaulin) so that it will dry nicely.

Gum, which is made up of various species of eucalyptus, burns for a long time and provides the most heat per cubic meter of firewood. It is harder to start the fire with Gum than it is with Pine or Macrocarpa so we suggest adding a faster burning species to your supply for the purposes of getting your fire going.

Our process involves a cross cutter which cuts the logs to uniform length. A splitter which reliably dissects the log to a desirable firewood size that we determine. A cleaner which removes the rubbishy bits. A concrete pad to hold the wood so that the firewood you receive is free of mud and gravel. The result? Fantastic, good quality firewood.
